A couple of weeks ago, we told you about the launch of an independent, boutique British luxury carmaker named Eterniti Motors at the Frankfurt Motor Show and revealed a sketch of the firm's first model, a luxury SUV called the Hemera.Now, Eterniti has released the first picture of what it claims will be “the world’s first super SUV”. The London-based company says that Hemera will satisfy even the most demanding of customers, offering a limousine-like cabin for rear passengers with twin reclining seats, iPads and a drink chiller [sic…].
And for those who want a more unique experience, Eterniti says additional customization options will also be available upon request. In Frankfurt, Eterniti’s SUV will be shown in prototype form with production targeted for next year.
Eterniti doesn’t divulge any information on the SUV's specifications other than that it will be based “on the latest generation of the best large SUV platform available”. The company won't say until the IAA, but the vehicle shown in the teaser does resemble the Porsche Cayenne.
According to the British company, the donor model "will undergo a chassis-up rebuild, with a new, repackaged interior, carbon-composite body panels and additional performance" before it's transformed into the Hemera.
Alastair Macqueen, who was responsible for the development of the Jaguar XJ220 supercar and has won the Le Mans 24-Hour race with both Jaguar and Bentley, leads the firm's engineering team. Eterniti has also hired former F1 driver, Johnny Herbert who is said to have an active involvement in developing the brand's vehicles as well as serving as its ambassador.
