One of the highlights of the Mercedes-Benz booth at this week's 64th International Auto Show in Frankfurt will be the new F-125! concept model.Created as part of the celebrations for the Stuttgart-based brand's 125th anniversary, the F-125! demonstrates how Mercedes-Benz's designers and engineers envision the future in the luxury car segment.
A tad shorter than the standard S-Class but with a longer wheelbase than the S-Class Long, the concept model with the huge gullwing-style doors sports a high-tech fuel-cell system running on hydrogen to power four-electric motors that deliver a combined output of 231-horses.
Mercedes-Benz says that the prototype has a driving range of approximately 1,000 kilometers or about 620 miles, while it can sprint from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.9 seconds and reach speeds of up to 220km/h (137mph).
